Introducing MUTE SYSTEM™ 33, the wall and ceiling sound proofing system designed for superior noise reduction using patented technology. It is affordably priced and quick and easy to install, delivering exceptional sound absorption performance with up to 88% reduction.
MUTE SYSTEM™ 33 is a Soundproof panel, connected to the parent wall using a patented DClox™ anti-vibration mount. This mount allows for maximum utilisation of the acoustic principal Mass-Spring-Mass. “A sound wave that hits the MUTE soundproof wall has much of its’ sound energy dispersed due to the unique density of MUTE. Any sound energy that escapes through the MUTE wall enters a “spring” space (air gap) meaning that any excitation of the Mute panel is not transferred to the parent wall”. The DClox™ unique isolation system ensures contact with the parent wall is kept below 1%.
DECIBEL have used Finite Element Modelling to develop the unique geometry of MUTE. The density of the parent board, combined with an acoustic non-flammable foam backing and carefully positioned DClox™ isolation mount, ensures maximum acoustic efficiency in the system. The full MUTE range has had its' performance verified with independent laboratory testing.

DClox™ is a patented fastener specially designed for the installation of MUTE SYSTEM™ soundproofing panels.
These innovative fasteners are made from special elastomers, making them an effective vibro insulation point connection between the existing partition wall and the panel. Their geometry reduces the rate of sound transmission and minimises the contact area between soundproofing panels and the existing wall to below 1%.

DClant™ – Sound and Vibro insulating sealant, which adds +3 dB to the system
DCvisco™ – Sound and Vibro insulating membrane, which adds +3 dB to the system
DCstrip™ – Sound and Vibro isolating tape which adds +2 dB to the system

Assembly
The MUTE SYSTEM 33 is designed to sit behind your sound bloc plaster board increasing its performance by introducing mass and decoupling the room from the wall. To complete your isntallation Sound block plasterboard or regular plaster board should be attached to the MUTE SYSTEM 33. Soundblock plasterboard can be purchased from building merchants and hardware retailers across the UK.
