Finally a panel that actually stops sound tranmission from Pro-coustix.
Controlling sound transmission into and out of rooms is one of the biggest challenges for any audio professional. Fortunately with our SoundBlock panels we can help you on your journey to reducing noise transmission from your music production room.
Our sound block panels are made from melamine veneered MDF board mounted onto our ultraflex high density acoustic foam. This combination of wood and foam results in a panel that is able to reduce sound absorption by upt 50% using three mechanisms.
Reflection - The hard surface presented toward incident waves will cause waves in the upper mids and high frequency to get reflected back into the room reducing the waves that will penetrate the panel and effectively the wall onto which the panel is mounted on.
Absorption - The acoustic foam foam used in these panels is like no other at a 29kg/m3 density this foam presents a torturous path for sound waves as they try to navigate through the walls of the foam structure. This forces the sound waves to get converted into heat readucing the overval amount of sound transmitted through the foam and onto the treated wall.
Dampening - Finally our panels are mounted with a flexible adhesive that allows them to act as spring dampeners this allows the panels resonate with lower frequencies improving the absorption at these lower frequencies.
For best results these panels are best used to treat the entire offending wall leaving as little space as possible of the wall untreated. Treating the entire wall will reduce the chances of sound flanking through to neighbouring spaces. One panel in the middle of a wall will not stop sound transmitted.
These panels can be mounted using our ATAC spray adhesive which will result in clean strong and permanent bond btween the foam and the wall. Removable mounting can be achieved using our impaler clips which are secured to the wall using screws and onto which the panels are impaled.
These panels will reduce upto 50% of sound in the vocal frequency range and will work for; Music studios, gaming studios, music rooms, practice rooms, podcast suites, hobby rooms, drum rooms.
Walls that are treated with our soundblock tiles can futher be treated with acoustic treament tiles to ehance the acoustics in any room.
