Melaflex panels are made from melamine resin foam, a high performing acoustic foam that is not only resistant to acid and mildew but is extremely light and is fire proof.
The unique 3D structure of this foam presents melamine with a unique ability to deliver high acoustic performance whilst remaining extremely light.
Unlike Polyurethane foam melamine foam will retain it’s bright white colour for years without getting discoloured indoors. Polyurethane foam on the other hand starts to discolour as soon as it is cut. This lends melamine foam well to interior applications where non intrusive acoustic treatment is required for walls and ceilings in particular without making the room look industrial and dark.
Our melaflex tiles have been cut to the most popular contemporary shapes and designs and will suit podcasters, youtube video makers, twitch content producers, zoom calling spaces for professiolly sound audio with clean looking acoustic tiles.
Please note due to the brittle ture of this foam we advise that it is best placed in rooms out of reach of curious hands as the melamine foam is easily punctured.
Great results can be obtained by placing them on ceilings and above 6ft. The average density of our melamine tiles is 11kg/m3 which lends melamine foam wall to ceiling and roof treatment where acoustic treatment can be retrospectively added to buildings with minimum loading on the ceiling structure.
Our advanced CNC capabilities ensure that we are able to deal with bespoke requirements and intricate shapes to fill your heart’s delight. Melamine foam is available in white and grey and in both a flexible and rigid composition giving your choice when it comes to choosing a solution that meets your requirements.
